Linksys WMP54G Setup in Windows Vista 64 bit

Prerequisites

• Linksys WMP54G Net Adapter
• Microsoft Windows Vista 64 bit

Procedure

• Download the RaLink (Chipset Manufacturer) RT6x/RT2500 drivers from the RaLink support website
• Run the exe-file. This will install files in C:\Program Files (x86)\RALINK.
• Go to Device Manager and right-click the Network Controller and select Upgrade Driver Software.
• Choose Browse My Computer and Pick from a list.
• Select Network Adapters and click next.
• Select Have Disk and browse to c:\Program Files (x86)\RALINK\RT6x Wireless LAN Card\Installer\WINX64 and select the file RT2500 and click OK.
• Choose 2L (Conceptronic) in the left-hand menu and Conceptronic 54g Wireless PCI Card Version 3.2.0.0 [6/1/2006] in the right-hand menu and click Next.
• You're all set (hopefully).
